Say, you wanna treat yourself to something different in entertainment? Heh, well guess what you’re using to play this? Not MPlayer, not QuickTime… how about Telnet. What? Yes. You heard me correctly. There is an awesome Star Wars Episode IV clip composed ENTIRELY in ASCII code. I was quite impressed with how it looked. Anyway, here is how you get to the beef…
MS Windows Instructions (Vista users should read the note at the bottom of this post):
Click Start and then Run…
Type “telnet” in the box and click OK…
At the Telnet prompt, type the letter “o” and hit the ENTER key…
You will see a “( to )” prompt appear. Just type “towel.blinkenlights.nl” and hit the ENTER key.
Now go grab a popcorn, sit back in your easy chair, and relax…
ENJOY!
NOTE: If you are running Windows Vista (speak of the devil…) then you will have to install the Telnet client since it is not included by default. To do this, go to the “Control Panel”, open “Programs and Features”, click “Turn Windows Features on or off” on the sidebar, accept the UAC confirmation, check the box next to “Telnet Client” and then click OK. Once you have done all of this, you can play the movie.

Hey ladies and gents. Sorry to keep you waiting on another post. I have been busy with studying for finals.
Anyhow, this semester at the university, I have definitely improved in my performance and I hope that, when sophomore year rolls around, I can see the light of day :P. Anyway, One of the classes I took had nothing to do with my major, yet it was the most important class for me during the course of the semester… sociology. I’ll tell you what, it really opened my mind up to the different classes of society, how people interact in their faith, and much more. If anyone has even a slight interest in human behavior, I would strongly recommend a sociology course. Now of course, it also depends on the professor who teaches it. Luckily for me, my professor is a balanced individual who presents both sides to any given argument. Others may not be this way, unfortunately. Therefore, I would exercise great caution when picking any sociology course.

Hmm… so I wonder how I can save good money on that sweet ride I had my eye on? Don’t worry! Seize Cars has a wide variety of impounded vehicles available for auction within your local area. Police impounds are an interesting thing to look into since you can save a sizable amount of money on a car. This site offers their service for a one-time $50 fee which seems pretty good to me. If you are interested, click here and check it out.

Do you hate having to give out your personal email address to shady websites? You should add slopsbox.com to your anti-spam arsenal. All you do is put “(whatever you want here)@slopsbox.com” into the email field of any site and click submit. When you want to check the messages it sends to the address, just use the slopsbox address you created plus a security code in order to log in to the mailbox in slopsbox. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants some stealth on the web!

Hello readers…
Now as a blogger myself, I would like some feedback on this site as well as on the posts I make. Please feel free to register here and make yourself at home. It would be most gracious if I could get a few new members and regulars to the site. Thanks everyone!

Calling all USENET fans… If you want a place to collaborate with me on matters pertaining to this blog or whatever else comes to your mind, try hitting me up on the alt.weblogs newsgroup. I am told that hardly anyone is in that group and it would make a great place for some lively discussion. Just be sure that whenever you post a message, you have the phrase “MJNBLOG - (your message subject here)” placed in the subject field so that I know what messages are for me to read.

The SEGA Dreamcast console was definitely the best 128-bit console of all time (in my humble opinion). Even though the console is technically dead, it still has a very strong following of console freaks and worshipers. For that reason, many have tried to make the best Dreamcast emulator. Of course, many have failed to deliver consistent performance and compatibility with the hottest Dreamcast titles to date. Fortunately, an emulator called nullDC has surely proven its worth to me and every other SEGA fanatic out there. I give it two thumbs wide up for the best overall Dreamcast emulator. Go play with it today!
P.S. If you want Dreamcast ISOs, look no further than the RomBay for a good library of games to choose from and download.

Hey there…

Wanna play a fun classic? Try playing this Super Mario clone. It is quite impressive for a DOS game and it is only a mere 100k to boot.

So I was surfing the net the other day, and I found an interesting link about mobile advertising that reaps rewards. Huh, so what’s so good about ads anyway? Well supposedly, this brand new service pays you handsomely for merely watching ads on your mobile device (or email). Blowfish Works, a company started by an ex-Gizmondo exec Carl Freer, is trying to test those waters a bit and see if such a scheme is feisable. Anyway, I signed up on the site, but so far I haven’t received any kind of login info or confirmation email. Lets hope this site and idea is for real. I could use a little extra pocket cash right now.

Hello!
As a tribute to the Netscape browser legacy, I created a portable version of the browser that you can tote around on a thumb drive or whatnot. It is a single, 50MB EXE application created with Thinstall. The browser also comes with Adobe Flash 9.0 built right in. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did making it.
